Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders, located in Cusco, Peru. Machu Picchu stands 2,430 m above sea-level, in the middle of a tropical mountain forest, in an extraordinarily beautiful setting. It was probably the most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire at its height; its giant walls, terraces and ramps seem as if they have been cut naturally in the continuous rock escarpments. The natural setting, on the eastern slopes of the Andes, encompasses the upper Amazon basin with its rich diversity of flora and fauna.

Maras is a town in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, 40 kilometers north of Cuzco, in the Cuzco Region of Peru. The town is well known for its nearby salt evaporation ponds, in use since Inca times. The salt-evaporation ponds are up-slope, less than a kilometer west of the town.

Pampas Galeras is located about 90 kilometres from the city of Nasca (598 m.a.s.l), following a steep/winding road that leads high into the Andes till an elevation of 4200 m.a.s.l. This area is home of two American camels, the Vicuñas and Guanacos, which can be seen running freely through the Andean plateau. Colca Canyon is a canyon of the Colca River in southern Peru, located about 100 miles (160 kilometers) northwest of Arequipa It is more than twice as deep as the Grand Canyon in the United States at 13,650 ft (4,160 m) depth, and is promoted as the "world's deepest canyon", although the canyon's walls are not as vertical as those of the Grand Canyon.

The Monastery of Saint Catherine (Spanish: Santa Catalina) is a monastery of nuns of the Domincan Second Order, located in Arequipa, Peru. It was built in 1580 and was enlarged in the 17th century. The over 20,000-square-meter monastery was built predominantly in the Mudéjar style, and is characterized by its vividly painted walls. There are approximately 20 nuns currently living in the northern corner of the complex; the rest of the monastery is open to the public. Laundry of the monastery.


The visitors who arrive to Lindo Lake enjoy enviable peace and contact with nature. Sacsayhuaman was added as part of the city of Cusco to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1983. The complex is as many other Inca constructions made of large polished dry stone walls, each boulder carefully cut to fit together tightly without mortar and It's at an altitude of 3,701 m.
